Shandong Haihua Group Co.Ltd.(SHG) is located on the southern bank of Laizhou Gulf in the BohaiSea ,the nottheast of Weifang , a city renowned as the world kite capital . Established in August 1995 ,on the basis of its predecessors Weifang Soda Ash Factory and Shandong Yangkou Saltworks , SHG is an exceptionally large-sized modern enterprise ,which is mainly engaged in the rising ocean chemical industry while integrates scientific researches ,others industries and trade.One after another SHG has been designated as one of the 120 experimental enterprise ,groups nationwide by the State Council. In terms of comprehensive power,one of Shandong’s 23 major enterprise groups enjoying special support by the Provincial Government of Shandong. In terms of comprehensive power ,SHG ranks in the top poition among the enterprise specialized in the same trade throughout the country .
Under SHG there are 26 branch and subsidiary companies and one national-level technological center and a post-doctoral station .In 1998 ,through raising capital ,and its parent company as the exclusive promoter ,SHG established Shandong Haihua Co.,Ltd..The A shares named “Shandong Haihua”were successfully listed in the Shenzhen Securities Exchange,which laid a solid foundation for the quick development of SHG .Meanwhile great progress is made in joint ventures and cooperation with foreign counties .The bromide project jointly invested with Israel will be the largest bromide production base in the country .Moreover ,SHG makes every effort to implement the information engineering project .Now it has been listed among the first group of demonstration enterprise concerning information engineering among the national-level enterprises.
The major products of SHG include more than 40 kinds ,among which such leading product as Soda Ash ,raw salt ,bromide ,melamine ,calcium chloride ,and sodium nitrate rank the first in same trade in the country in terms of the indexes of scale ,returns and market shares .Moreover more than 30 kinds of products of SHG have been certified by the ISO9000 series internatuinal quality system certification.The “Yuandu”Soda Ash produced SHG is chosen as the “Name Brand Product of China ”.The products of 40 countries and regions.The foreign-exchange-earning volume through exports of SHG can hit more than 100 million US dollars every year.
In accordance with the development plan , SHG will implement nine grand strategies ,including people-oriented ,management innovations ,technical innovations ,capital operation ,invigorating by foreign capital ,financing through many ways ,invigorating through information ,creating famous brands and sustained development . While strengthening the development of three pilliar industries ,including salt chemical industry ,coal chemical industry ,and petrochemical industry ,SHG will also develop five auxiliary industries ,including thermal power ,tertiariy industry .It is expected that by the end of the “10th Five-Year Plan(2001-2005)” period ,SHG will become an international base for production and export of chemical industry production with competitive powerful strength .
